The Canadian Sport Jiu-Jitsu Championships will have the following events:
SPORT JIU-JITSU FIGHTING (JJIF 3 PART FIGHTING)
- 3 MINS U16/U18/Adults (18+) and 2 MINS UNDER 14 AND MASTERS
- WIN WITH ONE IPPON IN ALL 3 PARTS (STRIKE, THROW, HOLDDOWN/SUBMISSION)
- 3 POINTS (IPPON) FOR HEAD KICK OR SUBMISSION
- 2 POINTS (IPPON) FOR UNBLOCKED CLEAN STRIKE, CONTROLLED THROW OR 15 SECOND HOLDDOWN
JJIF CONTACT JIU-JITSU FIGHTING (JJIF HEAD IMPACT FREE Contact Jiu-Jitsu)
- Adults (18+) Only
- STRIKES (Punch, Kick, Knee) ALLOWED IN ALL PARTS (Standing, Gripping or on Ground)
- Inside and outside leg kicks above the knee are allowed - no straight strikes to knees
- No kicks or knees to down opponent
- NO STRIKES ALLOWED TO THE HEAD IN ANY PART
- Match is won by submission or stoppage (TKO, Unable or Unwilling to defend, 5-Count)
